Honoring Dr. Rebecca Martin, mentor & friend
My beloved mentor and friend, Dr. Rebecca Martin, died on Sunday, January 5th.
We met in 2020 shortly before the pandemic began. My friend Sarah invited me to a meditation gathering at the Atmaram Ashram in Louisville, KY where Dr. Martin resided and hosted many spiritual events.
After experiencing the meditation, I walked over to where she was seated in her rocking chair.
I was about to thank her for the gathering and instead unexpectedly lowered myself to my knees and bowed at her feet. Nothing like this had ever happened to me before.
She simply smiled at me.
Her presence was grounded and kind, strong and sincere.
From that moment on, we became quick friends and she helped me through my grief and my spiritual reception as an Intuitive Guide. I knew our time was special.
At first, I would take copious notes trying to keep up with all that she was teaching me; then, eventually I surrendered and could feel what I needed was being integrated and would simply become a part of me.
I had everything I needed.
I remember asking her if I could channel and receive messages for others like I do for myself. We talked about our guides and I shared that I could easily see my brother. Then she said something that has stayed with me ever since:
"Don't doubt it for a second."
(As I look at the clock right now, it is 1:11 and I am laughing. Thank you, Rebecca!)
I'm so grateful for all that she taught me including how to reach her on the spiritual plane years ago. I've connected with her there many times and it is still an easy place to access her now. She is truly free in Spirit and will continue to be of service.
Dr. Martin had some clarity a few days before her passing and shared these kind words via her family:
Please tell all my beloved community that it is my wish they continue the good work on their Spiritual Path and that through their experiences at Atmaram Ashram: the Workshops, Therapy Sessions, Meditation, Tai Chi, Yoga, Chanting, Pilgrimages to Sacred Sites and the beautiful community we all created together, that you will continue to be inspired to live lives of Compassion and Service, Healing and Love.
I will always be with you in Spirit and Love.
Thank you for honoring this special person with me.
